Swings & Smiles exists for the moments that change everything: the first time a child feels truly free to play, the first time a parent feels understood, the first time a family realises they do not have to navigate disability alone. We create spaces where children with disabilities can laugh, explore, and be themselves without limits or judgement. Every corner is designed with care, every activity shaped around what each child can do, not what they cannot.
For families, we offer more than support. We offer a sense of belonging. A place where siblings are included, where parents can exhale, and where everyone is met with warmth, patience, and genuine understanding. Here, smiles are not just expressions; they are milestones. They are proof of confidence growing, friendships forming, and barriers falling away.

What we do
Swings & Smiles offers support for disabled children and their families in a welcoming and accessible space. Our services include respite, family play sessions, youth clubs, sibling support and outreach, all designed to help children play, grow and feel included.
We support children and young people aged 0 to 18 with a wide range of disabilities and additional needs. Families can enjoy time together without the pressure they often face in wider community settings, with activities shaped around what each child enjoys and does best.
We are here for the whole family. Parents, carers, siblings, grandparents and of course the child themselves all find understanding and support that adapts to their individual needs. We also welcome visits from schools, groups and anyone who may benefit from our facilities.
